We were told at the front desk that there was a fire ban on and we couldn't have any type of fire which is no good when all you have is a camping stove and bbq for cooking dinners. I made the reservation just days in advance (told them it was a tent we'd be in,) and was not told of the fire ban that was only on in this park (not in the rural municipality at all,) this ruined our whole weekend as when you camp it's all about hambugers, hot dogs, and marshmallows. Couldn't even warm up water for coffee. Very poor customer service and informing customers of any situations that would affect their stay. Will never stay here again and would advise others to stay somewhere else unless you have an R.V.
Avoid this campground at all costs. We booked one night here to spend with a few friends - safe to say we will never be back. We left our site (due to a rainstorm) to stay at the hotel in Beausejour. When we returned (before checkout time - I might add) to collect our belongings, the owners had taken everything off our site - thinking we had 'abandonded it'. Upon further inspection, it was noted that our tent was not put away properly - with the poles being wrecked. When I asked for money back, the owners refused stating that we 'should've cleaned up our belongings before we left'. Terrible management, terrible experience.
Would have given a higher rating but was turned off by camp 'sheriff' that came by every night like clockwork. The lady kept telling us to keep down the noise and watch our language. Really? On July long weekend? We turned off our music but apparently our conversation was still too loud. The campground is nice. The fellow campers are nice. There is a lot of older people though, so it might be a better idea to find a campground with people your age. I won't spend money to camp here again.
Seemed very nice. Didn't stay over night but the facilities we're very nice and the river flowing through it is beautiful. They catered an event and the food was pretty good.
Owner is very rude. We had a hose that kids from the park were playing with one of those stretchy ones and it caused a leak. Not a big deal kids will be kids. This guy pulled up in a golf cart in the morning while I was sleeping and started yelling at my wife and sister in law about the hose leaking loud enough that it woke me up. We called the office the lady said it wasn't a big deal. Couple hours later and the same guy shows up again and brings the matter up again, when I told him I talked to the office and they said it wasn't an issue he started saying this is his place and this is unacceptable when I explained to him what happened and why the hose was broken from the kids playing with the hose he said it wasn't he problem. I than told him I didn't appreciate him yelling at my wife he laughed and shrugged his shoulders. To top it all off we had been looking at seasonals here and told him the way he was acting wasn't doing his business any favors to which his response was "well I don't think we would want you guys here anyway". Avoid this place at all costs beautiful place run by a grumpy person!
